Extension of existing contract from 31 March 2027 - 30 June 2027, to use 'Modern Polling' a technology solution in polling stations at scheduled parish and town council elections on 6 May 2027 and any other unscheduled electoral events in that period. The solution provides for digital processing of electors, instant and accurate record keeping and post-election reporting to regulators and others. In addition it allows on polling day for real-time monitoring of polling place turnout / occurrences and at the close of poll for prompt production of accounts needed for the election count.
Cost: £5,563.

Alternative options considered

None - The supplier (Modern Democracy Ltd) is experienced in providing like services to the Returning Officer where effective, accurate, and efficient compliance with electoral law is essential.
