Contract award - Asbestos Contractor to deliver asbestos testing and removal
May 22, 2024 Joint Assistant Director: Housing Services (Officer) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Currently the Council does not
have a contractual arrangement with a procurement compliant
contractor for the removal of asbestos.
The Council has an ad-hoc interim arrangement to ensure
compliance. Consequently, the Council
will be going out to tender to seek an appropriate contract in June
2024 but needs to arrange an interim contract to allow for that
procedure to take place. The expenditure for this contract is
anticipated to be in excess of £200,000.
Content

To award a 12 month contract to value of £240k, to Crucial
Environmental, to deliver asbestos testing and removal, as a
precursor to an open tender contract.
