Reasons for the decision

To renew contract with existing provider to enable business as usual operations and continue a digital solution to waste collection. Benefits include -
- Real time tracking of waste vehicles
- Database of every property and their associated waste collections
- Live feed of collection service status
- Production of reports for environment KPIs
- Allows crew reports of vehicle, road and property issues
- Allows supervisors to manage crew workloads and reassign where needed
- Garden waste subscription automation
- API calls to Salesforce CRM for front end web forms and customer services information
- Missed collection automation

Alternative options considered

Swapping providers would incur a new cost of implementation. Any decision to change providers should be made by West Surrey after reviewing the future joint service model.
