To approve the grant of the easement for access over land at
Milkhouse Gate (part of Castle Car Park, Sydenham Road, Guildford,
GU1 3RW), which is to the rear of 8 Tunsgate, GU1 3QT, to the
owners of the London Camera Exchange Holdings Limited in line with
the following terms and conditions:
The fee will be a one-off payment of £100,000.
The easement will be permanent.
The rights to be granted to the Grantee are to allow pedestrian
access to the self-contained apartment on the first floor of 8
Tunsgate, and to the rear of the retail shop premises on the ground
floor of 8 Tunsgate, such access to be with or without bicycles and
with or without bins.
The Grantee is to be granted rights to enter through an opening in
the Council’s wall. The works to construct an opening in the
Council’s wall are to be covered under a separate licence to
occupy and carry out works.
The Grantee is to be responsible for 50% of the cost of any
maintenance to the wall carried out by the Council, if
necessary.
The Grantee has undertaken to pay the external valuation fees and
expenses, and the Council’s legal fees, surveyor’s
fees, and other expenses including the cost of providing a plan, if
required.
