RESOLVED:
 
1. 
The Planning Service Local Development Scheme at
Appendix 1 was approved.
 
2. 
The Hackney Local Plan 2033 Review Report at Appendix 2
and the Addendum Report at Appendix 3 were noted.
 
REASONS FOR DECISION
 
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004
(as amended) places a statutory duty on the Council to maintain an
up-to-date Local Development Scheme (LDS). An updated LDS has also
been requested by the Deputy Prime Minister following the
publication of the NPPF on 12th December 2024. The LDS must set out
the documents which, when prepared, will comprise the Local Plan
for the area and the timetable for their preparation and revision.
It must be made publicly available and kept up-to-date so that
local communities and interested parties can keep track of
progress.
 
The current version of the LDS came into
effect on 27 February 2023 and covered the period 2023-2025. This
revised LDS covers the period 2025-28 (Appendix 1) and fulfils this
requirement as it sets out the timetable for the production of the
Council’s Local Plans and Supplementary Planning
Documents. 
 
DETAILS OF ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED AND
REJECTED
 
None considered. An updated LDS is required by
legislation.
