3.
The approach of taking quarterly RAG-rated progress
reports to the Transformation Programme Board, Cabinet and CLT to

support was provided for the scheduling of the LGA follow-up visit
to October 2025.
REASONS FOR DECISION
Publishing the report demonstrates the
Council’s commitment to openness and allows stakeholders,
including residents, partners, and staff, to engage with the
findings and understand the Council's plans for addressing the
recommendations.
The action plan outlines clear steps to build
on the strengths identified in the CPC and address areas for
improvement, ensuring alignment with Council priorities. Regular
reporting will help track progress and maintain focus on delivering
the intended outcomes. Rescheduling the follow-up visit ensures
adequate time for meaningful implementation of the
recommendations.
DETAILS OF ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS CONSIDERED AND
REJECTED
Do nothing. The CPC process identified key
areas where improvements are necessary to strengthen governance,
enhance internal processes, and support more effective
decision-making. Failing to act on these recommendations would risk
inefficiencies, missed opportunities for transformation, and a
failure to meet best practice standards. By progressing with the
recommended actions, the Council is ensuring it remains responsive,
accountable, and well-positioned to deliver improved outcomes for
both staff and residents.
