RESOLVED:
 
That Cabinet:
 
1. 
To approve the update to the Planning Service Local
Development Scheme at Appendix 1 in respect of the Stamford Hill
and Future Shoreditch Area Action Plans.
 
2. 
Delegate any subsequent minor amendments to the Local
Development Scheme to the Group Director, Climate, Homes and
Economy in consultation with the lead member. 
 
REASON(S) FOR DECISION:
 
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004
(as amended) places a statutory duty on the Council to maintain an
up-to-date Local Development Scheme (LDS). The LDS must set out the
documents which, when prepared, will comprise the Local Plan for
the area and the timetable for their preparation and revision. It
must be made publicly available and kept up-to-date so that local
communities and interested parties can keep track of progress.
 
The current version of the LDS was approved by
Cabinet on 24 March 2025  and covered the period 2025-2028. This
revised LDS covers the same period 2025-28 (Appendix 1) with an
update to the timetable for Stamford Hill Area Action Plan and
Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan, thereby fulfilling the
requirement for an up-to-date LDS. The remaining timetables are as
previously approved.
 
Delegating authority for minor amendments to
the Local Development scheme to the Group Director in consultation
with the lead member would enable minor changes such as this to be
amended at a delegated level without requiring cabinet
approval.
