1.1. That further to the Executive Lead Member
Children’s Services Decision Day 25 June 2025 where delegated
authority was granted, the Director of Children’s Services,
in consultation with the Executive Lead Member Children’s
Services, approves the recommendations for additional Short Breaks
funding totalling £18,000 to be awarded to Short Breaks
activity providers as detailed below and in Appendix 1.

1.2. YMCA Fairthorne Manor are currently grant funded to provide
holiday club Short Break Activities. An additional award of
£750 is recommended.

1.3. Solent Youth Action are currently grant funded to provide
holiday and youth clubs Short Break Activities. An additional award
of £1,000 is recommended.

1.4. The Rose Road Association are currently grant funded to
provide holiday and weekends club Short Break Activities. An
additional award of £4,000 is recommended to create
additional spaces for children and young people with complex
needs.

1.5. The Rainbow Centre is currently grant funded to provide
holiday club Short Breaks Activities. An additional award of
£1,500 is recommended.

1.6. Disability Challengers are currently grant funded to provide
weekend and holiday club Short Breaks Activities. An additional
award £8,000 is recommended to create additional
spaces.

1.7. Diverse Abilities Short Breaks, Project My Time are currently
grant funded to provide holiday club Short Breaks Activities for
young people. An additional award £750 is recommended.
