That the Director of Children’s Services
approvals for the spend of £12,125 in grants to support
delivery under Hampshire County Council’s share of the
Household Support Fund as set out in paragraph 4. This funding will
provide ad hoc childcare from licensed providers to help reduce
barriers for households engaging with the Leigh Park Best Start Hub
against a ringfenced budget of £40,301, as detailed in an
earlier Officer Decision Report.
Due to an underspend, this report also seeks approval to reallocate
£28,176 of the £40,301 previously designated for ad hoc
childcare, as detailed in paragraph 1. Of this amount, £4,200
is requested to increase the Public Health supervised brushing
initiative from £11,000 to £15,200. The remaining
£23,976 is proposed for additional food support across the
community pantry and foodbank network, approval to spend for this
£23,976 will be requested in a later report.
Subject to the approval to reallocate £4,200 funding to the
Public Health supervised brushing initiative as set out in
paragraph 2, this report seeks approval to spend the revised
funding available of £15,200 for that initiative as detailed
in paragraph 4.
