1. That the Director of Universal Services
gives authority to transfer the sum of £125,000 from
Hampshire County Council to Southampton City Council as a
contribution to the City Council’s project to deliver
pedestrian and cycle accessibility improvements at Townhill Way,
West End, and that the Director approves additional spend by the
County Council, estimated at £9,000, for the purposes of
supporting the City Council in delivery of this project and
undertaking a scheme governance function, making the total County
Council funding contribution to the project £134,000, to be
funded from Section 106 Developer Contributions.
2. That the Director of Universal Services gives approval to enter
into a funding agreement with Southampton City Council, in
consultation with the Head of Legal Services, for the purposes of
transferring this funding.
3. That the Director of Universal Services and the Head of Legal
Services progress, enter into, and secure all appropriate licences,
agreements, consents, rights, permissions and easements necessary
to enable the works to be undertaken.
