Decision

That 7 traffic orders be implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), the effects of which will be to make the following minor amendments to made traffic regulation orders:
(1) Cove Road, Fleet
Update the revocation history, as per article 5. of the order. In 2025 made order “The Hampshire (Ancells Road and A3013/B3010, Fleet) (40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2008” was quoted as having been revoked.
This 2008 order was, however revoked in 2013 by “The Hampshire (Various Roads, Yateley and Fleet) (40 and 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2013” the latter of which should have & will now be revoked.
(2) Grange Road, Netley
Update a road name error; changing item (ii) of the schedule from: “Woolston Road, between its junction with Ingleside and its junction with Newton Road at the County boundary with Southampton City Council, an approximate distance of 695 metres.”
To: “Woolston Road, between a point 17 metres south-east of its junction with Grange Road and its junction with Newton Road at the County
boundary with Southampton City Council, an approximate distance of 695 metres.”
(3) Newtown Straight, Newtown
Update a road number & meterage error; changing the schedule item from: “Length of the A34 Trunk Road south of Newbury (known as Newtown Straight) from a point 55 metres south of its junction with the A339 Trunk Road (north of Newtown) to a point 1 metre south of the southern boundary of Burghclere Service Station, a total distance of approximately 3512 metres.”
To: “B4640 Winchester Road/Newtown Straight between a point 135 metres north-east of its roundabout junction with A34 Newbury Bypass at Burghclere and a point 65 metres south of its roundabout junction with A339 Newtown Road/ Basingstoke Road, an approximate distance of 3,212 metres.”
(4) North Hill, Fareham
Add the following emergency service exemption to prohibition of right turns, left turns, U-turns & prohibition of driving: “Nothing in Articles 2 - 5, above shall apply if that vehicle is being used for police, ambulance or fire
and rescue services.”
(5) Pennington, New Forest
Update a road name error; changing Schedule II, item (iii) from: “That length of A337, Christchurch Road/Milford Road between a point 180 metres west of Downton Lane and a point 186 metres south-west of the access road leading to Efford Household Waste Recycling Centre, a
distance of 4,272 metres”
To: “That length of A337, Lymington Road/Christchurch Road/Milford Road between a point 180 metres west of Downton Lane and a point 186 metres south-west of the access road leading to Efford Household Waste Recycling Centre, an approximate distance of 4,272 metres.”
(6) Romsey Road, Pitt, Winchester
Update a measurement error; changing schedule II, item (iii) from: “B3040 Romsey Road between its roundabout junction with A3090 Badger Farm Road and a point 83 metres north-east of that point”
To: “B3040 Romsey Road between its roundabout junction with A3090 Badger Farm Road and a point 38 metres north-east of that point.”
(7) Wella Road, Basingstoke
Update a road name error; changing the schedule items from: “from a point 185m east of its junction with Lister Road to its junction with the Basingstoke Southern Tangential Road, a distance of 90m”
To: “Wella Road from a point 185 metres east of its junction with Lister Road and its junction with the A30 Southern Ringway, a distance of 90 metres.”
None of the amendments, above, will change restrictions as they appear on-ground, rather they will bring Traffic Regulation Orders in line with restrictions currently in place.
