RESOLVED that NWES Property Services Ltd
(company registration number 05361073) is awarded a contract in the
sum of £159,990 to deliver the UK Shared Prosperity Funded
West Essex Business Support commission “subject to
contract”.

Reasons for the decision

A   
To support SME businesses across West Essex and
therefore supporting growth in the local economy.

 
B   
To ensure value for money is achieved through the
awarding of a tri-partite contract with Uttlesford and Epping
District Councils who are providing equal funding for this
commission.

Alternative options considered

As a full open tender process
has been undertaken and evaluated, the only valid option is to
either award to the top bidder (as per this report’s
recommendation) or not award the contract and reconsider how else
the UKSPF funding could be utilised to deliver Business Support
services and therefore meet the UKSPF Investment Plan.
