RESOLVED that the Leader of the Council approves the award of a contract to HTS Ltd to refurbish the land adjacent to the Potter Street Community Centre for the total cost of £392,063.82.

Reasons for the decision

The decision will facilitate the creation of thirty-eight additional parking spaces and three electrical charging points to benefit the wider community.

Alternative options considered

The option to progress the scheme as originally planned has been discounted based on the financial viability of the conversion.

The other options for the office do not preclude the refurbishment of the car park, nor does the refurbishment limit the options.
