About

The Licensing Committee makes recommendations to the Council on the Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Policy and the Gambling Licensing Policy. The Committee also has general responsibility for miscellaneous Licensing functions, including taxi licensing, and the licensing of markets and street trading

Sub-Committee Panels, drawn from the membership of the Licensing Committee, make decisions on individual licensing applications to which objections/representations have been received, and hear appeals on a range of licensing matters. For further information, see “Licensing Sub-Committee”.
