RESOLVED that Cabinet agreed
a dispensation to the Contract Procedure Rules (2025) under clause
9.1.7 to allow a direct award of contract for insurance broker
services for a further three years with an option to extend for a
further 1 + 1 years, commencing on 1 November 2025.
 
Reasons for
decision
It was considered that extending the current
contract would provide continuity of services and enable the
knowledge of the current provider to be retained.
 
Alternative Options
Considered
Three tenders could be obtained which would
comply with the Contract Procedure Rules but was not considered to
be the best option.
