Decision

RESOLVED that Cabinet
NOTED
the presentation and agreed that the officers submit a report for
consideration at the next ordinary meeting of the Cabinet that
responds to the Petition and takes into account the presentation
made by the Lead Petitioner.

Reasons for
decision

A petition was received on 29th October 2025
and lead petitioners received a response on 3rd February 2026 from
the Portfolio Holder for Planning Infrastructure and Transport and
Portfolio Holder for Housing and Housing Development.

The Council’s Constitution stated that if
the lead petitioner was unsatisfied with the original response,
they should be given the ability to present at the next convenient
meeting and as such have been invited to this Cabinet
meeting.

Officers had considered the requests set out in
the petition and provided responses to each request (Appendix A)
for Cabinet’s consideration.

Alternative Options
Considered

As stated above, the Council’s
Constitution clearly set out the process and Cabinet had therefore
been asked to consider the petition. There were no alternative
options.
