Decision

RESOLVED that Cabinet
approved in principle the establishment and procurement (including
tender) of an Electric Vehicle Car Club in the Civic Office Car
Park, Borehamwood based on the principles set out in Paragraph 6 of
the report.

Reasons for
decision

To facilitate this transition and to cater to
the increasing take up of EV vehicles in the Borough.

Alternative Options
Considered

The alternative option was to do
nothing.

The Council had committed to achieving net-zero
carbon emissions no later than 2050. A delay in acting on reducing
emissions will require more radical interventions in the future at
a greater cost, and larger impacts on the residents of the Council
and society at large. Alternative to do nothing was not
recommended.
