Decision

Subject to confirmation of fund availability pursuant to paragraph 6.5 of this report, to approve the allocation of £13,728 of Section 106 receipts towards the retrofitting and extension of a residential property in Horsham. Further details are contained in the report and exempt appendix.

Reasons for the decision

To enable a large multigenerational family to remain in the property instead of presenting as homeless.

Alternative options considered

Not allocating section 106 monies to this project was discounted on the basis that the younger family members will be overcrowded and may present as homeless for a temporary accommodation placement which would result in another household waiting to be rehoused on our housing register.
