At Borough Council on
23rd May 2023 members agreed to increase the number
of area forums from five to seven. As a result the Bedfont Feltham Hanworth Area Forum was
split into two separate meetings (Bedfont and Feltham Area Forum
and Hanworth Area Forum).
The members of the Hanworth Area Forum are
ward councillors for the following
wards:
Hanworth Park –
Councillor Bishnu
Gurung (Chair) and Councillor Farah Kamran
Hanworth Village
– Councillor Allan Joseph and Councillor Aysha Tariq
The Hanworth Area Forum is one of seven area forums operating
across the borough. Each is committed to providing
clear, accountable, community leadership and tackling the unique
challenges and needs of their area. The Forum monitors and reviews services delivered by
the Council and other agencies in that area.
An area forum is made up of councillors and option for members of the public
with extensive knowledge of the area to be co-opted onto the
committee.
The meetings allow for local consultation and discussion. Area
forums are crucial in shaping the local area to meet the needs and
aspirations of their residents, providing a forum for local
decision-making on a wide range of matters. Meetings are open to the public and details of the
meetings are available from the link above.
