Cabinet agreed that, subject to consultation, the current Hounslow
Post 16 to 25 Travel Assistance Policy should be separated into two
distinct policies: one for persons of sixth form age and one for
adults (up to the age of 25 with an EHCP).  Details of the criteria for each category were set
out in Section 7 of the submitted report.

Cabinet agreed that the proposed changes to the two policies
referred to in the previous recommendation were agreed in
principle, as set out in Section 4 of the report, subject to
consultation with the relevant stakeholders (e.g. parents, carers,
and young people).

Cabinet agreed that a statutory consultation should be carried out
regarding the proposed policy changes referred to in the first
recommendation and that the outcome should be reported back to
Cabinet in Autumn 2025.
