Cabinet approved the Parking Strategy, as summarised in Section 3.3
and
attached in
Appendix 1 of the submitted report, noting the outcome of the
Parking Strategy consultation, as detailed in the report in
Appendix 2 of the report;
·      
Cabinet approved the updated parking fees and permits schedule in
Appendix 3 of the submitted report for implementation from
September 2024;
·      
Cabinet agreed that the Parking Revenue Account (PRA) could be used
to fund the cost of implementing the actions arising from the
strategy, with delivery phased over a number of years, subject to
the availability of funding from the PRA and appropriate
approvals;
·      
Cabinet delegated authority to the Assistant Director of Transport
& Parking, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Infrastructure, Recycling and
·      
Transformation, to:
a)   
Implement the actions set out in the Parking Strategy, subject to
the
availability of
funding from the Parking Revenue Account and other
sources, including
approval of specific locations for any new improvements, in
alignment with the strategy;
b)   
Execute the updated parking fees and permits schedule (Appendix
3);
c)   
Update the council’s Crossover Policy and Parking Policy to
bring it into alignment with the Parking and Kerbside Strategies
and other corporate policies;
d)   
Execute a communications plan for the strategy;
e)   
Make any necessary amendments to the report and appendices prior to
formal publication, to take account of feedback from Cabinet.
