Purpose

The Council has a requirement for specialist
insurance cover in respect of future liabilities that may occur in
relation to the Eastern Gateway development.
 
AON a specialist insurance provider were
appointed through the ESPO framework to act as broker. AON have
approached suitable insurance providers and selected the best
provision for the Council’s requirements on the site.

Decision

To award a contract to AON for the provision
of specialist insurance services through MX Underwriting Limited
related to the Eastern Gateway development on supplier terms for a
15 year term. Contract Value excluding VAT - £163,800 (inc
Insurance Premium Tax).
 
Reason:
To provide specialist insurance cover in
respect of future liabilities that may occur in relation to the
Eastern Gateway development.
