Purpose

Ipswich Borough Council is currently
redeveloping the Eastern Gateway industrial park, part of this
redevelopment requires additional power to the site.
 
Power supply is only available from UKPN and
therefore a decision to exempt this requirement from Contract
Standing Orders has been made.

Decision

To waive contract standing orders as there is
only one DNO to provide a power connection. UK Power Networks.
 
Reason:
To enable the reservation of 4MVA and a
preferred point of connection (POC) for Eastern Gateway.
