Purpose

Ipswich Borough Council is
currently redeveloping Eastern Gateway, the former sugar beet
site.
 
IBC commissioned a landscape
and ecological management plan (LEMP) which recommended the renewal
of the existing (failed) reptile fencing along the eastern boundary
line of the site.
 
Following an open tender
procurement process to find the most economically advantageous
bidder, fifteen responses were received.
 
The most cost-effective bid was
Wise Civils Ltd at £11,668.00.
Contract number for the award
is IBC17310.

Decision

To agree to award Wise Civils Ltd the newt
fencing contract as winning bidder (£11,668.00).
 
Reason:
To protect development land from reptiles at
Eastern Gateway.
