Purpose

Ipswich Borough Council requires a suitably
experienced and qualified company to provide landscape
architectural services as outlined in the Greener Ipswich Project
brief.
 
The Greener Ipswich project will create a
variety of greening opportunities and spaces through the town,
removing the pallet of grey, highlighting the historic
architecture, creating a green trail that is a destination linking
the town centre to the Waterfront to encourage social, economic,
and cultural prosperity, whilst enhancing wellbeing, creating
cohesive communities, and enabling further carbon
sequestration.
 
An open procurement process using Suffolk
e-sourcing was undertaken and five tenders were returned. Following
evaluation of the tenders which included compliance with essential
criteria, quality of the submission and price the successful
contractor was identified as Make Space Landscape Architecture
Ltd.

Decision

To award the contract to Make Space Landscape
Architecture Ltd at a value of £67,957.70. The appointment
cost will be met from the existing Towns Fund capital budget
allocated to the Greener Ipswich project.
