Purpose
Suffolk local authorities (Babergh District Council, East Suffolk Council,
Ipswich Borough Council, Mid Suffolk District Council, West Suffolk
Council, and Suffolk County Council) has procured through
competitive tender a review of Suffolk visitor economy marketing
and existing partnership activity. The work will assess the value
and impact of activity delivered across Suffolk and produce a
series of recommendations as to future activity and ways of working
to be jointly funded by the above local authorities.
The commission is funded by a contribution
from each partner local authority.
Ipswich Borough Council led the procurement
exercise on behalf of the Suffolk Local Authorities which was
conducted in line with Ipswich Borough Council’s Contract
Standing Orders. Following evaluations of the tenders received
Amion Consulting was selected as the
preferred provider.
Decision
To enter into a services contract with
Amion Consulting for the provision of
the Suffolk visitor economy review. The contract value is
£20,000. The contract duration is between December 2023 and
March 2024.
