Purpose

The Council provides a customer services
centre within its Town Hall. This site provides a location for
those needing to access IBC services online and by telephone,
booked appointments, scanning and some drop-in services. The
service operates two days per week in addition to those operating
from its Grafton House reception.
 
Due to a breakdown of the heating system the
CSC was deemed to be too cold for those customer services staff at
the CSC.
 
There were no booked appointments for
5/12/23.
 
Options for heating the CSC by alternative
means or repairing are being investigated. There would be
communications online and at location to reflect this one-day
closure.

Decision

To close the Customer Services Centre on 5
December 2023 and redirect those attending to Grafton House
reception.
 
Reason:
Due to a breakdown of the heating system the
Customer Services Centre was deemed to be too cold for those
customer services staff at the Customer Services Centre.
