Purpose

The main sports hall at Gainsborough Sport
Centre requires a sand, seal, and re-marking to maintain the
surface for sports activities.
 
The main hall has seen increased footfall over
the last few years as it has been used by Essex University
Partnership NHS Trust (EPUT) as a COVID-19 Vaccination centre. Due
to this usage the polyurethane seal is degrading in areas.
 
Following an invitation to quotation
procurement process, using Suffolk e-sourcing reference IBC/17213,
five quotations were received to supply services to complete the
sand, seal and re-marking. The quotations
were assessed and evaluated by Officers and a
decision was made to award the contract to Roger Hyde Ltd.

Decision

To award the contract to Roger Hyde Ltd at a
value of £20,536.00.
 
Reason:
To ensure the main hall at Gainsborough Sports
Centre is sufficiently maintained to continue use of the facility
safely and to a quality standard.
