Purpose

Sourcing Ipswich Borough Council’s Local
Authorities Treescapes Fund (LATF) grant trees in partnership with
all Suffolk Councils, enabled via Suffolk County Council and few
park tree and plant replacements.
 
A procurement exercise has been undertaken by
the Parks Team with Officers from the Council’s Procurement
team for the purchase and supply of grant funded trees and park
tree and plant replacements.
 
Four bids were submitted, and a validation
process was carried out by officers from the Council’s Parks
& Procurement teams and the bid submitted by Urban Forestry was
found to demonstrate value for money and quality for the many
individual species required.
 
The planting will be carried out by the
Council’s Wildlife Rangers & Grounds Maintenance
Teams.

Decision

To award a contract to Urban Forestry. The
total value of this contract is £17,657.50 for the purchase
and supply of trees.

To  supply the LATF
trees and a few park tree and plant replacements
