Full council record

Purpose

The Council owns 128 bus shelters and is
responsible for carrying our repairs and maintenance to them as
required.

Following a competitive tendering exercise run
by the Council’s Procurement section, a decision has been
made to award a non-exclusive 5 year contract to J. Boast
Maintenance Services to attend to the repairs and maintenance of
the Council’s bus shelters as required by the Council. This
covers both emergency and standard works. The estimated value of
the contract over the 5 year period is £50,000.

The alternative option would have been to not
award the contract but it is important that the Council’s bus
shelters are kept in a good state of repair.
