Purpose

Following the return of a DBS certificate that
contained information relating serious crime a combined hackney
carriage and private hire driver’s licence was revoked with
immediate effect on the grounds of public safety.
 
No alternative options were considered.

Decision

To immediately revoke the combined Hackney
Carriage and Private Hire driver’s licence.
 
Reason:
Information relating to a serious crime on the
returned DBS check. Concerns for public safety.
