Purpose
A procurement exercise has been undertaken by
officers from the Council’s Procurement team using the ITQ
form of tender invitation to identify preferred suppliers for
supply of bow top fencing for Ipswich Garden Suburb play area
project.
Four bids were submitted, a validation process
was carried out by officers from the Council’s procurement
and parks teams and the bid submitted by Newton Forge was found to
demonstrate value for money and quality for the fencing
required.
The decision made was to award a contract to
Newton Forge for the supply of bow top fencing for the IGS Visitor
Centre’s play area.
The estimated total value of this contract is
£25,536.50 for the purchase and supply of bow top
fencing.
The planting of the trees will be carried out
by the Council’s Landscaping Team.
The bow top fencing is part of the creation a
DEAP play area at the IGS Country Park.
Decision
To award a contract to Newton Forge.
Reason:
To supply the bow top fencing for the IGS
Visitor Centre’s play area.
