Purpose

Parks and Cemeteries require a supplier to
provide cloud-based Cemetery & Crematoria software for
cemeteries across Ipswich Borough Council.
 
Pre-tender discussions were held with
suppliers in the marketplace and from these and knowledge of the
current software, a full specification of requirements was put
together and the decision was taken to search
for the requirements through GCloud 13.
 
PlotBox were the
only provider who could supply Ipswich Borough crematorium and
cemeteries with a full cloud-based software package, that fitted
the required specification.
 
The council will enter into a maximum
4 year contract from the date of award
(3 year contract with the option of a one year extension.
 
The costs will be
• System & implementation costs -
£77,750.00 + VAT
• Licencing cost £8,680 (per year)
– maximum contract value will be £34,720

Decision

To award the contract to PlotBox, through Lot 2, Cloud Software, G Cloud
13.
 
Reason:
The system meets all the specified
requirements and will enable more efficient and effective use of
Cemeteries staff’s time.
