Purpose

Ipswich Borough Council is working with Gecko
Theatre Company (a locally based Arts Council National Portfolio
Organisation) to create a new build structure for them to use as
their headquarters and rehearsal
space.
 
Funding from Arts Council England has been
secured for the project and Ipswich Borough Council now requires
the services of an Architect to develop a design and manage the
delivery for the new Gecko Creation Space from RIBA Stage 2 to
Stage 6.
 
Following an open tender procurement process
through the Suffolk Sourcing system, 13 bids were received.
 
The most economically advantageous tender was
received from KLH Architects for the value of £55,720.00
(excl. VAT).
 
The appointment cost will be fully covered by
existing capital budgets.

Decision

To award the contract to KLH Architects.
 
Reason:
To enable works to proceed within given
timescales.
