Purpose
When considering a licence application for a
Park Home there are a number of different Acts to consider; Caravan
Sites and Control of Development Act 1960, Mobile Homes Act 1983,
as amended by the Mobile Homes Act 2013, and Mobile Homes (Site
Rules) (England) Regulations 2014.
When a local housing authority receives a
licence application, the authority must either-
• grant a licence.
• refuse to grant a licence.
Having received a complete park homes licence
application, the Council is satisfied:
• Planning permission has been granted
for the use of the land to be used as a mobile home site.
• The proposed licence holder is fit and
proper to be the licence holder.
• The proposed licence holder is the most
appropriate person to hold the licence.
• The mobile home site is reasonably
suitable for the number of pitches.
• The condition of the mobile home site
is to a satisfactory standard at the time of inspection.
The licence contains certain standards site
conditions, which the licence holder must obligate to throughout
the licence period.
An application has been received from an owner
of the mobile home site, Mr Johnnie Price, 10 West Meadows,
Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5NU. Having reviewed the application in line
with the above legislation(s) and the site rules submitted with the
application, a Park Home licence is to be granted for,
new licence.
