Purpose

This decision relates to the approval of a
loan request for items in the Ipswich Borough Council Museum
collections.

The exhibition is part of Ipswich Art
Society’s 150th anniversary celebrations and will explore the
journey of art and artists in Ipswich over the last 150 years.
Linking into key developments and what was happening in the town in
terms of social history over different periods.
 
Ipswich Borough Council collections will be
supported by collections from the Suffolk Archives as well as
Ipswich Art Society’s own archives and complimented by works
from current members.
 
Loan commences: 29th April 2024
Loan ends: 23rd August 2024
Exhibition dates: 3rd May 2024 – 28th
June 2024

To support the temporary exhibition to
commemorate the Ipswich Art Society 150th Anniversary
