Purpose

As part of the Play Area Strategy 2022 –
2027 Whitehouse Play Area has been approved to be redeveloped to
replace aging equipment and to enable inclusive play.
 
Following a procurement process the contract
was awarded to Kompan Ltd for the supply of play equipment and
installation of wetpour surfacing.
 
All ground works and installation of equipment
will be installed by IBC’s Landscape team.
 
To enable this the existing play area needs to
be closed to enable the existing equipment and surfacing to be
removed and subsequently replaced.

Decision

To temporarily close the play area at
Whitehouse Park. It is expected to be
reopened week commencing 15th July 2024.
 
Reason:
To enable necessary works to be carried out to
replace equipment and surfacing.
