Purpose

The Council has a requirement for a postal service provider with the appropriate product range, competitive pricing and customer service. 

A procurement exercise has been undertaken using the Crown Commercial Services Framework model (RM6280) Lot 2: For collection and delivery of letters, large letters, and parcels.

Decision

To directly award the contract to Royal Mail for one year. The total value for the contract is £145,000.

Reason:

Royal Mail were evaluated as the most cost-efficient provider that could meet all the specification criteria.
