Purpose

A procurement
process has been undertaken by officers from the Council’s
Procurement team to identify a preferred supplier for the supply of
a Ride on Lawn Mower 4-wheel drive and 2-wheel steer.
 
The machine will be
used by the Parks & Cemeteries Service to cut the grass on all
smaller Parks and Open Spaces, Housing Sites, Closed Churchyards
and external School Grounds Maintenance contracted sites across the
town.

Decision

Two bids were
received. A validation process was carried out by officers from the
Council’s Parks team and the bid submitted by Ben Burgess Ltd
did demonstrate value for suitability and quality.
 
The value of this
contract is £17,865.00 + VAT for purchase and supply of
equipment. Once confirmed delivery will be within 1 month from time
of order.
