Purpose

Eastern Gateway is
a commercial enterprise park still under development, it was
purchased by the Council in 2014 from British Sugar. The Council
would like to appointment a quantity surveyor to advise on
financial and contractual matters associated with the Phase 3
(power delivery) project.
 
The Council has
completed a successful ITQ via Suffolk e-sourcing system, to
procure a Quantity Surveyor. The most economically advantageous
tender was received for the value of £16,438.00 (excluding
VAT) by Castons Consulting Limited.
 
The budget for
these works is in place and will coming from allocated capital
funds.

Decision

To award the
contract to Castons Consulting Limited,
the most economically advantageous tenderer.
 
Reason: To
enable the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor and Contract
Administrator for the Phase 3
(power delivery project)
