Purpose

Ipswich Borough Council has a requirement for
a specialist contractor to develop an augmented reality (AR) trail
to promote the heritage, location and culture of Ipswich town
centre and generate footfall, dwell times and staycationers into the town. This is the third
trail out of ten under Digital Ipswich. The tender was published on
Suffolk Sourcing.
 
Following an open procurement process for an
AR app developer, bids were received from nine contractors.
Following the evaluation, the winning bid was agreed.

Decision

To award the contract to Go Jauntly at a total value of £22,845.00.
 
Reason:
To develop an AR trail around Ipswich town
centre.
