Purpose

Sourcing Ipswich Borough Council’s Local
Authorities Treescapes Fund (LATF) grant trees for a partnership
project with all Suffolk Councils, enabled via Suffolk County
Council, and the Urban Tree Challenge Fund (UTCF) and few
replacements.
 
A procurement exercise has been undertaken by
the Parks & Cemeteries (P&Cs) Team with Officers from the
Council’s Procurement team for the purchase and supply of
grant funded trees and park replacements.
 
Six bids were submitted, and a validation
process was carried out by officers from the Council’s
P&Cs & Procurement teams and the bid submitted by was found
to demonstrate value for money and quality for the many individual
species required.
 
The total value of this contract is
£12,497.48 for the purchase and supply of trees.
 
The planting will be carried out by the
Council’s Wildlife Rangers & Grounds Maintenance
Teams.
