RESOLVED:

(a) To approve a trial of proposed
changes to the council’s Blue Badge traffic filter exemption
policy, as set out in Section 3 of the report of the Executive
Member for Environment, Air Quality and Transport.

(b) To note the proposed
engagement and monitoring approach that would accompany the trial,
as set out in Sections 3 and 7 of the report.

(c) To delegate the authority to
make a final decision on the outcome of the trial, subject to
successful engagement and monitoring, to the Corporate Director of
Environment and Climate Change, following consultation with the
Executive Member for Environment, Air Quality and
Transport

decision – To enable
Blue Badge holders who relied on car travel to gain more direct
access to their destinations and reduce the time spent in vehicles
when going about their everyday lives.
