Purpose

This decision seeks authorisation to make a Temporary Traffic Order to close roads in north Kensington to facilitate a safe Carnival event. This includes making provision in the Order for restrictions applicable in Westminster City council also.

Decision

The Lead Member has AGREED to:

(1)  Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Environment and Neighbourhoods and the Director of Law to make the Traffic Management Order set out in Appendix One. 2.

(2)  Delegate authority to the Council’s Traffic Manager, or that person’s nominee(s), to amend, issue and, if necessary, withdraw vehicle exemptions under the Traffic Management Order.
