Purpose

This Forward Plan covers two decision points in connection with the procurement of a competent and suitably qualified contractor to carry out Domestic Gas Servicing, Works and Planned Maintenance to council housing properties across the borough.

Decision

The Lead Member AGREED to:

1. Approve the award of the contract for delivering the domestic gas maintenance service across the borough to Sureserve Compliance South Ltd (Company No 05158607) to up to a sum of £10,029,911.05 excl. VAT (£12,035,893.27 inc. VAT) for up to 5 years with an anticipated commencement date around June 2026 (an initial 3?year term with the option to extend for up to two additional 1?year periods, if exercised).
2. Approve delegating authority to the Director of Housing Management, following consultation with the Lead Member for Housing and, following confirmation that the contract has met key performance targets, to extend the contract for up to two additional 1-year periods beyond the initial 3-year term.
