Purpose

The demolition of the existing
tower blocks has been approved to support the regeneration of Berry
Brow.
 
This decision was authorised by
the Cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday, 27 July 2021, under item 17:
Proposals on the future of four of the Council’s high-rise
blocks to improve fire safety.

Approval to award the contract
for the demolition of Holme Park Court and Bishops Court to the
successful tender bidder, following completion of the procurement
process. This approval will allow the formal appointment of the
contractor and enable mobilisation, allowing demolition works to
commence in line with the agreed programme and
timescales.
