Purpose

As a part of the annual fees
and charges review the venues service has undertaken an assessment
of the current charges, other providers pricing and our delivery
costs. This then forms the revised pricing strategy for 24.25,
effective from 1st April 2024.

As a result of the review,
fees and charges will increase for Town Halls with the rate of CPI
(c6.7%) for community bookings and 10% for commercial hire bookings
such as weddings and commercial venue hire. Some rates at Batley
Town Hall and Dewsbury Town Hall may increase above these figures
to realign some fees and charges that were previously
discounted.
