Purpose

To award a new replacement Vehicle Accident Damage Repair Provision contract.

The Vehicle Accident Damage Repairs Framework will provide the Council with a compliant, flexible approach to procuring accident repair services for its operational fleet of around 600 vehicles under 7.5 tonnes. The multi-supplier framework offers no guaranteed work, with individual repair requirements awarded via mini-competition based primarily on price and timescales. Suppliers are responsible for delivering a complete end-to-end service, including recovery, inspection, repair, documentation, warranties, and vehicle return.

This service provision is critical to ensure operational delivery of the Council services that operate fleet.

Decision

To proceed with procuring new replacement Vehicle Accident Damage Repair Provision contract, framework Period: 36-month initial term with the option to extend for a further 12-months.

The estimated value of the Framework is approximately £250,000 per annum exclusive of Value Added Tax) or £1,000,000 over the four-year term.
