Purpose

The contractor (BAM) is
already working under the PCSA to deliver the RIBA 4 stage design,
negotiate the construction contract and the associated contract sum
and carry out the already instructed enabling works.
 
The PCSA period is to be
extended by three weeks to the 2nd August 2024 to allow
the construction contract to be concluded.
 
At the same time, to utilise
the contractor resources efficiently and to maintain the programme,
further demolition works are to be instructed under the PCSA. These
works are part of the demolition works that were intended to be
carried out during the next stage of the delivery programme under
the construction contract.
 
Funding of
£396,071 to cover both these
items will be drawn from the approved construction stage budget as
per the current cashflow.
 
This decision takes effect
from the 15th July 2024.
