Purpose

The Housing Growth and Regeneration Team wish to reprocure
an RICS accredited firm of Chartered Surveyors to support and
increase capacity in the team. The current arrangement is in place
until February 2025. This reprocurement would be through the Crown
Commercial Services framework and would commence March
2025.
 
The Council’s key objectives for this commission
are;

To appoint RICS
accredited Chartered Surveyors with specialisms in providing
residential property development consultancy and valuation work who
can work flexibly, within a changing environment.

·        
To appoint a
consultancy that can provide support to the Housing Growth and
Regeneration Team, on wide range of technical residential property
development, compulsory purchase, planning, affordable housing and
valuation matters. This will be in relation to the sites allocated
for Housing in the Local Plan and may be extended to other Council
sites as well as land not currently in Council ownership regardless
of the Local Plan allocation.
 
The Contract Award is due for early December 2024 and
contract commencement is due for March 2025.
 
The contract is one year initially, with the provision to
extend for a further x2 12-month periods (up to three years in
total).
 
The project budget is up to £420,000
total.
